Suzanne Anderson Couture
Suzanne has been designing clothing her entire life. She was born in Rockford, Illinois. With the help of her mother and aunt, she was already creating fabulous new clothes for her dolls, at the age of six! Throughout her childhood and into her teen years, her passion never diminished. This ultimately lead her to graduate with a BFA with honors in fashion design, from Illinois Art Institute Chicago.
With her degree in hand, she immediately began designing wedding gowns. From that day, Suzanne has had her hand in the wedding industry! In 1998, she officially opened SuZann Designs Bridal. In order to break into the industry, she attended the Chicago and New York Bridal Markets. At the shows, her incredible designs caught the eye of several major fashion publications. Her incredible creativity and skills go far beyond strictly bridal gowns. In fact, she has created flower girl and Mother of the Bride dresses, as well as sold Bridesmaids dresses. The latter being sold in retail stores.
In 2017 the brand was re launched as Suzanne Anderson Couture.
Suzanne's styling ranges between 1940s vintage style Old Hollywood glamour, with a modern twist, and contemporary, clean lines. Silk is the only fabric she uses. Every single gown is produced in the United States. What sets them apart?
My gowns are Made in the USA. I would in all silk imported fabrics. My gowns are handmade in Chicago by a small factory. I visit the factory frequently and the conditions are very good and ethical practices. I ensure quality because I am hands on and inspect all completed garments with the factory. With Made in the USA production shrinking, because we produce in the USA we have a quicker turn around , can accept custom changes and special orders.
